Grants + Scholarships
We are passionate about creating systemic change that positively affects women and their families. Because of the generosity of our donors, we have granted nearly $1 million to empower women and girls in our eight-county service area. Although we have identified ten areas that affect women's ability to be self-sufficient we focus our efforts on four key areas:
- Living wage
- Training and Education
Specifically, we focus on women and their families who are between minimum wage and self-sufficient wage (about $20/hr). Grants will be considered for programs that serve this population and clearly address barriers that prevent them from achieving economic self-sufficiency. See the our list of past grants.
2020 Grant Cycle
The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation is pleased to announce our 2020 Grant Application. This year, we will be awarding a total of $50,000 in grants.
Applications are due no later than Monday, November 16th by end of day.
We know you are busy and are dealing with extraordinary strife because of COVID-- this application shouldn’t add to the stress. This year, the application is simple and straightforward—we just need the basics: some details about your organization, how you plan to use the money and how you involved those most impacted in the creation of your programs. Your organization can apply for $500 - $10,000. If selected, you will receive the grant before December 31, 2020.
As you may know, we employ the talents and lived experience of our Women’s Fund Advisory Council to select our grant recipients. These women live and work in the community and are everyday experts in the focus areas of the Women’s Fund. They themselves juggle childcare, lower-wage employment and many other complications on their path to self-sufficiency. We can’t think of a better group to make these important funding decisions.
