Policies & Restrictions
The Foundation supports programs which benefit children, generally through high school age, in the Greater Cincinnati area (Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County in Indiana). Over the past several years, the Foundation has had a primary interest in children ages 0-6 years; though applications are still accepted for ages through high school.
- Applicants must have an IRS determination as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

In most cases, an organization must wait 24 months after final payment of a grant or decline of a request before it is eligible to reapply.

The Foundation will not provide continuing operational support for any grantee.

The Foundation does not normally assume a major portion of any amount being solicited.

Emergency requests are not favored unless they involve disaster and human suffering.

Grants Evaluation
The Jergens Foundation requires a follow-up evaluation report to be completed in our on-line grant system at the end of the grant period. Applicants will receive an e-mail reminder two weeks prior to the evaluation due date.
